/ About

Hi, I’m Brittany.

I’m a marketing leader from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. For more than 10 years I’ve been the person who can write the strategy, shoot the video, build the website, set up the CRM, read the numbers and then explain all of it to a board. That’s what a T-shaped marketer is, and it’s why teams call me when they need marketing built, not just maintained.

Brittany Hoversten, marketing leader in Minnesota

/ The short version

I started on the creative side: design, copy, photo, video and web. Three associate degrees later (Advertising Communications & Design, Web Design & Development, and Liberal Arts & Sciences) I could make almost anything a marketing team needed.

Then I started running the thing. At Buyers Edge Platform I managed full-scope campaigns for 115 of the world’s largest food manufacturer brands, up to 60–70 projects a week, from messaging and budgets to launch and performance reporting. I hand-built 750+ HTML newsletters a year for audiences of up to 170,000, worked with IT on our custom art platform and photo studio, and started an in-house corporate video service, helping build its pricing, that brought in $60K+ in its first year. Between corporate roles I ran Highbloom Digital, my consultancy, full time: I owned 25+ client accounts end to end, managed budgets up to $500K a year, managed a bench of up to 30 contractors and averaged a 25% lift in client ROI. At Tri-CAP I led five departments (communications, IT, data, intake and outreach) with a team of five, and connected how the agency’s technology, data and communications worked together. I wrote a five-year technology plan that found $350K in savings and presented it to the Board, cut the next year’s overhead by more than $20K, led a six-month move to outsourced IT, automated client intake with self-service kiosks and compiled the data behind a federal grant of about $500K. I also ran PR, crisis communications and the annual report, and finished a rebrand already underway. When the role became almost entirely IT, I chose to come back to the work I do best.

Today I’m Marketing Specialist at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud, an agency of 12+ programs and 300 employees. I handle its marketing communications and strategy: the annual campaigns (one round of our Make God’s Love Visible appeal raised more than $90K), every agency survey, a $10K-a-month Google Ad Grant I found and put to work, an in-house photo and video studio that saves $10K+ a year, a 3,000-photo media library and a 400-item brand hub, plus the communications side of a Salesforce rollout. I’ve twice received the Better Together Award for cross-department impact.

I’m also completing a B.A. in Integrated Studies at St. Cloud State University (Strategic Communications, Business Economics and Marketing), online and at my own pace, expected spring 2028. It puts a degree behind skills I already use every day and deepens the core of my T as AI reshapes marketing.

Wide range. Deep core.

The top of the T is everything I can roll up my sleeves and do. The stem is where I go deepest, and it’s what I’m formalizing now as I complete my B.A. in Strategic Communications, Business Economics and Marketing.
